Wednesday

For the Love of It.

I was on BYU campus for almost 11 hours straight today. It's not even finals week. (what the...)
I had classes and then spent about 4 hours straight studying for my Stats 121 test.
note: I knew next to nothing about statistics this morning, and in just those 4 hours, i learned enough to get me a 94% on the test! go me!
When i was walking through the freezing rain to the testing center, (i guess technically if it were freezing it would be snow, but you get my point) i got to thinking.
I just started thinking about how much i love school. I mean honestly, i love school! There i was, making the dreaded walk across campus to the testing center, late at night, in rain, on a freezing cold night. And that's all i could think about.

I love all of it.
I love learning
I love meeting interesting people
I love staying up late
I love the challenge of tests
I love all my friends, who are pretty much my second family up here
I love the reality of it all
I love playing tricks on strangers
I love living on my own
I love the big leaps in life I'm forced to take
I love the stresses and the rush of trying to accomplish things that seem to be impossible!
I love exploring
I love learning more about myself
I love developing relationships with people than i know will last forever
I love college.

Then i started thinking about a couple years ago year, when i hated it here! Yep, i said it. I really really disliked everything about this place. I couldn't stand Provo! And truthfully, BYU wasn't my favorite school. I had planned on transferring to ASU after my freshman year, but something just kept me here. Whatever it was, I'm glad it did. I'm so glad I've had the experiences i've had and I've met the people who i surround myself with! I've grown an incredible amount over the past few years, and i wouldn't give any of this up. I love it. I'm exactly where i should be, doing exactly what I should be doing, and it's a great feeling!

Okay let me just leave you with something hilarious. Some of our friends posted fliers around the 5th floor of the library for another friend to get a date for valentines day as a joke. Legit. They've been there for a few days now, and it seriously makes my life. Poor Hilary, but thank goodness we've all got great senses of humor.
